Detect PII in the PDF text layer, review it directly on each page, and mark additional words as MANUALBLOCK. Export keeps the same reversible placeholder logic as text anonymization.

Your PDF is processed in memory and is not stored.

The browser keeps the file you selected so there is no second upload picker at export. The application does not write uploaded PDF bytes to the database, Redis, session data, logs, or a server-side temporary file. Selected PDF text is permanently redacted from the page content. Export also removes document metadata, embedded files, JavaScript, thumbnails, XML metadata and stored form responses without rewriting the visible page layout.

Reversible PDF workflow: selected PDF text is removed and replaced with placeholders. The private JSON restore map contains the original values and page positions. PDF maps intentionally contain no SHA-256 or source-file fingerprint.

Maximum 15 MB and 40 pages. Password-protected PDFs are not accepted. Text selection requires a real PDF text layer; image-only scans need OCR before this reversible workflow can identify individual words.
